Welcome to the Central Kurdish Wiktionary!

Hello, Tessla, and also ping @Sakura emad, @Aram, @Keenîî, @Épine, @Roj im, @Kurd2021, @Gejeluk, @ئاراس نوری and @Kushared.

It is my pleasure to be able to welcome you officially to the Central Kurdish Wiktionary! Congratulations to you all, and thank you for all your hard work which has brought us here!

The wiki was created a few hours ago, and we have just finished importing all the content here from the Wikimedia Incubator.

Now, when a wiki is brand new, there are a few issues at first. I will list them here:

• The Visual Editor doesn't work yet. That is extra problematic here because the visual editor is this wiki's default editor. In order to be able to edit pages, you have to:
  1. Go to Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-editing
  2. Change your editor ("شێوازی دەستکاریکردن:") to use the source editor
• The reply tool doesn't work yet – you have to reply by editing manually in the source mode (i.e. the "old-fashioned way")
• Statistics on Special:Statistics and in magic words like {{NUMBEROFPAGES}} doesn't work yet.

These problems are usually solved within a few days. If more than one week passes and the problems still exist, please let me know, and I will get someone to fix it.

Jon Harald Søby Hi, can you please take a look at my comment above? In addition to the comment, I also noticed that there are about 2000 missing pages in main namespace. @Aram: According to Special:Log/import, we imported around 7300 pages here (that's all namespaces, so including categories, templates etc.). I am assuming you get the 5000 number from Special:Statistics? If so, you should know that for a page/an article to be counted as such for statistical purposes, it must have at least one [[internal link]]. See mw:Manual:Article count. So the pages should be there, but around 2000 pages are not counted because they don't have any links to other pages. Jon Harald Søby (لێدوان) ‏١٥:١٢، ٣ی نیسانی ٢٠٢٣ (+03)

@Jon Harald Søby Oh, you're right! All pages are 7225 without redirect pages and 7303 with redirect pages. I really hadn’t figured out until now that the magic word NUMBEROFARTICLES counted them like that. I just realized why we have fewer Wikipedia articles than the query results! Apparently the logo had the wrong dimensions (even though it used the exact same dimensions as other Wiktionary logos… go figure), so I uploaded a new version of it just now that fits the dimensions, and User:Urbanecm will add it to the configuration this afternoon (European time).
